Hello October…

As we head into the cooler months, I wanted to give you a little reminder about something I talk to my clients about all the time — looking after your hair and scalp at home.

Autumn and winter can be challenging for our hair. Colder weather, wind, rain and central heating can leave hair feeling drier, more fragile and sometimes just not as healthy or manageable as we'd like.

And while a good haircut and regular salon appointments are important, what you do at home between appointments really does matter too.

🤎 Your hair needs changing care throughout the year

Just as we change our skincare routine when the seasons change, our hair can benefit from a little adjustment too.

If your hair is feeling dry, your scalp is uncomfortable, you're experiencing more breakage or your hair simply isn't behaving as it normally does, it might be time to look at the products you're using.

This is why I don't believe in simply recommending the same shampoo and conditioner to everyone.

Your hair and scalp are individual to you.

At Bowe, I can look at your hair and scalp and recommend products according to what I think you actually need.

🌿 Organic Colour Systems

I've used Organic Colour Systems for around 10 years and it's a range I really trust. I love the way the products care for the condition of the hair while giving beautiful results.

The range includes products for different hair needs, including moisture, protein, repair, scalp care and styling. Organic Colour Systems also provides a hair analysis approach to help determine what your hair needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

If your hair is feeling particularly dry during winter, for example, an Aqua Boost routine may be worth considering, while hair lacking protein may benefit from a Power Build treatment.

🌱 Tony Maleedy Scalp Care

Don't forget your scalp!

A healthy hair routine starts at the scalp, and Tony Maleedy is one of the professional scalp-care ranges available through Bowe.

It's particularly useful if you're looking at maintaining scalp cleanliness, balance and hydration as part of your regular home routine. Take a look here

đź’š Trichology Homecare

As a qualified Trichologist, I also have a selection of specialist home-care products that I recommend depending on individual hair and scalp needs.

Our current online range includes Organic Hair Systems, Tony Maleedy, RepHair and Hypo21. These products can support different concerns including scalp balance, dryness, irritation, hair strength and condition. Take a look here

For clients dealing with particular scalp concerns, I may recommend a more targeted product rather than simply choosing something because it smells nice or happens to be on the shelf!

🛍️ Your salon favourites, delivered to your door

One of the things I'm really pleased we've introduced is the ability to buy many of the products we use and recommend in the salon through our online shop.

So if you've found a shampoo, conditioner, treatment or styling product that works beautifully for your hair, you can simply order another one when you're running low — without waiting until your next appointment. Take a look here.

And if you're not sure what you need, please just ask me.

I'd much rather recommend one product that's right for your hair than have you spend money on three products that aren't!

🍂 My October reminder to you…

As we move into autumn and winter, don't wait until your hair is really struggling before giving it some attention.

Look after your scalp.Protect your hair.Use products suited to your individual needs. And give your hair a little extra TLC.

I really care about your hair — make sure you do too. 🤎
